The NEHC Helicopter Safety Day is intended to be a day-long opportunity to bring the New England helicopter community together to hear from subject matter experts as well as proactively participate in discussions and share ideas and information about aviation safety with the helicopter community. All helicopter pilots, student pilots, operators, mechanics and manufactures are welcome to attend. The Safety Day offers FAA, FAASTeam 'Wings' continuing education credits to members of the WINGS program.

Time: Registration 8:15 AM, Seminar begins at 9:00 AM and ending approximately @ 3:30 PM

Fly-In: YES KCON Fly-in encouraged. Guests will fly to Concord Municipal Airport (KCON). Ground transportation will be provided between Concord Air Service and JBI Helicopters.

Randy Rowles - An FAA pilot examiner for 20 years for all helicopter certificates and ratings and has more than 13,500 flight hours of helicopter experience. He received the 2013 Helicopter Association International Certified Flight Instructor of the Year award. He holds an FAA Gold Seal Flight Instructor Certificate and a Master Flight Instructor Designation. Mr. Rowles owns Helicopter Institute Inc. with locations in Ft. Worth, Texas and Palm Beach, Florida, providing contract services to include pilot training, training program audits, and aviation management services for both Part 135 and 141 entities. In addition, Mr. Rowles is a regular instructor for the Airborne Law Enforcement Association (ALEA), Helicopter Association International (HAI) Flight Instructor Refresher Course (FIRC), and a monthly columnist for Rotorcraft Professional magazine with a column titled Rotorcraft Checkride.

Dr. Joseph Ray - Graduate of Emory University school of Medicine, USAF staff physician, now assigned to the FAA Aeromedical Certification Division Medical Appeals.

Rick Kenin - Boston MedFlight General Manager of Aviation Operations came to Boston MedFlight from a 30-year military career working with the US Coast Guard. In addition to being a pilot with the Coast Guard, Rick also worked in organizational management at senior level. While in the Service he ran large bases and regions and was also involved in strategic planning and large incident management.

Bruce Webb - Began his aviation career while in High School enrolled in the Aviation Aerospace course (private pilot ground school) as a sophomore, then attended A&P school as a Junior and Senior. He obtained his private rotorcraft certificate in 1982 and commercial / CFI in 1983. He has flown/worked as an owner/operator in the Chicago area in various facets of helicopter operations to include:
  Flight Instruction
  Part 137 Agricultural operations (crop dusting)
  Part 145 limited repair station
  Part 135 Charter
  Powerline / Pipeline patrol
  HAA (Helicopter Air Ambulance)

Bruce joined Airbus Helicopters in February 1999 as Chief pilot, a position he held for 16 years and is now the Director of Aviation Education and Community Outreach for Airbus Helicopters. Bruce believes that the key to reducing the accident rate in aviation is a better understanding of human behavior.
